Georgian and Victorian builders didn’t work with standard window sizes, so I have to be ready for all eventualities and deliver a bespoke solution to each and every customer. To be honest, it is this that makes my trade so interesting. Handcrafting sash windows is a rewarding activity in itself. I am lucky enough to do something I love, and to get paid to do it.
It was a beautiful sunny day when we finished off this job in Ealing. I do enjoy working in the sunshine.
Getting these windows fitted really helped to revive the look of this beautiful house on the Fulham Palace Road.
Ranlagh Road is full of beautiful victorian ‘mansions’ that have lovely big sash windows. i really enjoy replacing these as the owners are always so interested in the workings and the tradecraft involved in fitting them into their homes.
